If you were to ask someone what size snowboard you should ride they may tell you that it just needs to be as tall as your nose or chin. They may tell you that it all depends on your height, weight or both. Well we are here to tell you that it depends on all and none of these things. Yes, it is important that you fall within the proper weight and height range for your snowboard, but ultimately it is all about personal preference and riding conditions.
The table above provides a general recommendation for packed snow conditions. You’ll notice that each board size covers a fairly wide range of heights and weights. As long you fall within this range your snowboard is going to suit you just fine. However, you may prefer that your board is on the longer or shorter side of the spectrum depending on your personal preference and riding style.
There are a few widely recognized recommendations that are worth noting. Those that will mainly be riding freestyle may want their snowboard a few centimeters shorter than usual. This helps increase flex and maneuverability. Those planning to ride in heavy powder my want to increase their board size by a few centimeters to help it float better.
Our standard boards are actually slightly wider than average boards of comparable lengths because they are geared towards an all-around performance. They can even accommodate riders wearing size 11 or 12 boots on our 157 and 160cm boards.
Now that we having the boring stuff out of the way grab the Blank Snowboard that suits your style and hit the slopes.
